I am very excited to get to know and teacher your child this year. I have been teaching for many years. Some years in New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. I graduated from Mansfield University in PA and am certified in General Ed, Special Ed, and ESL.
I am marreid with two children who also attend GISD. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to working with you and your child. Our lunch time is early and specials is right after recess so no need for snack this year.

Welcome to 2nd Grade! I am very excited to have the honor of teaching your child this year. This is my 21st year in education. I attended the Region XIII Alternative Certification Program and then immediately started working at Purl as a Pre-K teacher. I moved up to Kindergarten for 5 years before moving up to 2nd grade. This is my 8th year teaching 2nd Grade. I have three children in Georgetown schools, my youngest here at Purl in the Dual Language Program. As a family we love traveling, visiting family, and taking bike rides.
Please feel free to contact me any time at the phone number or email listed below. You can also send a note in your child’s folder. I will respond to notes and inquiries ASAP. My conference time is 1:00-2:00p.m. daily. School and team meetings vary from week to week, so please be sure to schedule conferences with me in advance. If this time period does not meet your needs, please contact me so we can figure out a time that is convenient for you. If you have any questions regarding 2nd grade please don’t hesitate to ask. I feel that a positive relationship between you and I will provide for an excellent year for your child.

I'm so excited about this school year! I have been working in GISD for seven years and before that, I worked in Round Rock and Corpus Christi, I am a native Texan who graduated from Corpus Christi A&M. I've been in education for 18 years and have taught everything from pre-K to 5th grade students in both the general and special ed setting. I live here in Georgetown with my husband and two kids, Amanda (14 yrs old) who will be starting at GHS in 9th grade, and Lucas (12 yrs old) who will be in 7th grade this year. Along with our two dogs. My family and I really enjoy camping, boating, and doing all the outdoor activies. We have a vacation goal of traveling to all the major national parks in the USA.
I love what I do! My WHY is that I truly believe that all students are capable of learning and being successful in school and life. I have a motto in my class: "We are all learning and growing." I really want my students to understand we grow from mistakes and everyone in my room makes mistakes, including me. We can all learn from them.
